Job Title: Medical Infusion Specialist
Location: Addison, TX
Pay: $21.00-$25.00
Schedule: Mon - Fri, Flexibility for shifts between 8am-8pm (Shifts)
Training: Mon-Fri, 9am-5:30pm (2/3 weeks)
Job Description:
Obtain infusion Therapy referrals from referral sources
Enter member demographic, insurance and authorization information into the computer system
Maintain precise and up to date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes and adverse reactions
Submit alternate funding billing and override information to the dispensing specialty pharmacy
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding infusion procedures, potential side effects, and post-treatment care.
Requirements:
Minimum two (2) years of experience collecting referral information in an Infusion Center, Medical Providers Office and/or Specialty Pharmacy, preferably working directly with infusion therapies.
Experience working with all payer types, including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance companies.
Knowledge of insurance verification and pre-certification procedures
