Our Industrial Operations Team is looking for a Communication Connections Manager in Richmond, IN.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Community Connections Manager will provide support to individuals served as they pursue discovery activities out in the community, such as business tours, job shadowing, volunteer opportunities and job trials. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Support individuals in the community while they are engaging in training and experiences
    centered around the following activities: Self Advocacy, Career Counseling, Work-Based Learning, Volunteerism and Workplace Readiness.
  • Track data and keep daily reports of client progress.
  • Follow all protocols related to safely taking individuals served into the community.
  • Work with each individual served to identify and explore client vocational interests and communicate this information to the Community Connections Manager
  • Maintains certification in medication administration, CPR, and First Aid.
  • Attend departmental meetings.
  • Stay current on all individuals PCISP, risk plans, and behavior plans.
  • Attendance for work per requirements of program, Benchmark, and client specific needs.
  • Reasonable suspicion of a crime against an ICF/MR resident must be reported to Indiana State Department of Health and Law Enforcement (Elder Justice Act).
  • Report any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation immediately to supervisor or department head.
  • Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision (“self starter”).
  • Effective communication skills with staff, management, individuals served, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Functional knowledge of basic computer skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with adults with disabilities preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
