Job Description

Medline is hiring for a Sr. Director of Engineering position reporting to VP-Engineering. This role leads a team across the following key areas :

1. Transportation Engineering

1. Process Engineering supporting 40+ distribution centers

1. Medline’s entry-level Operations Management Development Program (OMDP) focusing on process improvement and Labor Management Systems.

1. Supporting the overall engineering department’s key initiatives including large projects and supporting our sites KPIs

Responsibilities:

• Continuously improvement our processes through step change process improvements

• Help grow and develop engineering team members to create future leaders including our OMDPs

• Maintain our Labor Management System (LMS) and associated labor standards

• Help define the strategic roadmap of engineering and operations to improve safety, quality, service, cost, and people metrics

• Ensure the engineering department meets their financial commitments on capital projects and organize overall portfolio of works

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Industrial engineering preferred)

• At least 6 years experience distribution/warehouse environment; 12+ years overall

• At least 6 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work
