Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for a, Senior Pipe Stress Engineer , for a 12-month contract assignment supporting the Mobile Launcher 2 project at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, FL. This role offers a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for overtime, per diem, and mobilization / demobilization. Our client is targeting $85.00/hour for this role.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Project Overview:
Located at Kennedy Space Center, the Mobile Launcher 2 (ML2) Project is the design and construction of a launch platform for NASA to provide an advanced launch vehicle that will fill America’s need for deep space missions.
The ML-2 project works a 40-hour, 5 day/8 hour schedule. Start times are flexible but the standard work week is Monday – Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Overtime may be required as directed.
- Standard GSA per diem rates are allowed if hired outside a 50-mile radius from the Kennedy Space Center.
- On site presence is highly preferred but will consider remote work for highly qualified candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Performing pipe stress analysis of systems in accordance with ASME B31.3 Code using AutoPipe.
- Modeling of the piping systems to verify piping flexibility, stability, and qualification of equipment nozzle loads.
- Work closely with layout personnel and pipe support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.
