Job Description

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for 2 Sr. Piping Engineer , for a 12-month contract assignment supporting the Kennedy Space Center, FL . Onsite role is preferred, but customer will consider remote. Position offers a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for overtime, per diem, and mobilization / demobilization.

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Pay Rate - $85.00+ per hour pending education and experience.


Position Responsibilities:
Essential duties include the locating and designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations. Candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3. Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required. Prior experience should include working in a 3D model environment.

Basic Qualifications

US Citizenship is required

Good knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards

Prior experience using structural analysis programs

Preferred Qualifications

PE Registration

Prior experience using pipe support analysis programs GTStrudel

Prior experience using Pipe SupportModeler software

Previous Bechtel project experience

Previous DOD/DOE project experience
