JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The RJ Case Manager Specialist I shall provide case management services with referred children and families from Jefferson County Public Schools while also implementing appropriate restorative justice practices.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE FOR THIS ROLE

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or related field, can be within four (4) months/one semester of obtaining degree; up to three (3) years of experience with an interest in working with justice-involved and disenfranchised populations is highly desired. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

1 Maintains case load of cases consistent with the project with Jefferson County Public Schools, restorative justice and case management processes and contact schedule, in catchment area.

2 Compile, input and track case management and restorative justice processes in online case management system.

3 Facilitate restorative justice practice for assigned cases consistent with department and project requirements.

4 Complete appropriate assessments for referred individuals and families.

5 Develop and monitor case plans, with assigned individuals and families, consistent with department and project requirements.

6 Complete and maintain accurate documentation for case management and restorative justice practices in online case management system.

7 Complete all required reports and documentation consistent with program standards and funding requirements.

8 Assist in the recruitment of community volunteers. 

9 Represent VOA and VOA Justice in the community.

10 Cultivate and maintain relationships with community organizations to provide support services for conferences participants.

11 Seek and engage in personal and professional development opportunities.

12 Participate in staff meetings and supervision meetings. 

13 Assist with special projects as assigned.

14 Assist and support all VOA Restorative Justice project sites including case management and travel.
