We are seeking a litigation paralegal to support our medical malpractice team.
This work requires your full-time presence onsite in our downtown office.
Spanish or other language fluency a plus.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery, and case management orders.
Assist attorneys in scheduling and preparing for depositions, mediations, and trials, including sending out notices, hiring court reporters/videographers, etc.
Obtain, organize, and maintain medical records, imaging, bills, and other materials for client cases.
Electronically file legal documents in Illinois State and Federal Courts.
Correspond effectively with opposing counsel, experts, witnesses, and clients.
Provide support during legal proceedings, including coordinating case schedules and ensuring compliance with deadlines.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a litigation paralegal in a medical malpractice or personal injury environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Familiar with discovery in personal injury cases.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
