Rutgers The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator in the Lifeline National Backup Center of Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare.The Program Coordinator provides administrative leadership and supervision to staff of the Lifeline National Backup Center during assigned shift. Provides oversight of all services and ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory standards.Among the key duties of this position are the following:Plans, trains and supervises the work of others engaged in professional and paraprofessional delivery of program specific services.Monitors daily operations and ensures that services are appropriately provided to clients and customers, providing immediate guidance as needed to Call Center's staff.Directly supervises assigned staff.Performs duties relevant to a leadership position and supports goals and objectives of University Behavioral Health Care.Demonstrates knowledge of professional standards and practices in the field of mental health.Maintains knowledge of trends and development in the mental health field; regularly attends and participates in in-service meetings and other designated training events that will enhance clinical skills, and maintain best practices.Maintains appropriate consumer/caller records as mandated by University Behavioral Health Care policy.Monitors staff compliance with all documentation requirements on a consistent basis as monitored by documentation reports, supervisory tools and chart review.Serves as liaison within the collaborating agencies, external funding sources, and other departments within RBHS.Maintains accurate communications in a professional manner.Attends and participates in appropriate meetings according to administrative needs.Communicates to staff in timely manner appropriate information obtained from meetings and conferences to enhance productivity of facility operations.Position Status:

Minimum Education and Experience:Master's Degree in a mental health discipline plus four (4) years post master's experience in behavioral health field.An appropriate doctorate may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.Certifications/Licenses:Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.All clinical licensing as required by discipline.Licensed in New Jersey to provide mental health services as an independent practitioner.Preferred Qualifications:One (1) year of prior supervisory experience preferred.Physical Demands:This position demands standing, walking throughout the program space.Lifting up to 20 lbs.Work Environment:Handles phone requests under time and decision-making pressure.Generally pleasant working conditions in a clean, well-lighted, and quiet to moderately loud setting.Crisis intervention is a common occurrence.Posting Details
