Junior to Mid-level Associate Attorney

The law firm is seeking a motivated and skilled Junior to Mid-level Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team in Wilmington. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in patent preparation and prosecution, specifically in electrical engineering or computer science. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, a high level of academic achievement, and admission to the USPTO.Duties:Conduct patent preparation and prosecution activities with a focus on electrical engineering or computer science.Provide legal advice and support on intellectual property matters.Collaborate with clients and inventors to understand and assess their technological innovations.Draft and review legal documents, including patent applications, responses to office actions, and correspondence.Requirements:Minimum of 2 years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.JD degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the USPTO.Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science.Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent legal research and analytical abilities.Solid understanding of patent laws and regulations.Proficiency in electrical engineering or computer science concepts.Experience in patent prosecution, particularly in software-related technologies, data science/AI, networking technologies (especially network security), and hardware security.Ability to work collaboratively with clients, inventors, and internal teams.Preferred Experience:Experience in patent prosecution related to data science/AI, networking technologies (especially network security), and machine learning/artificial intelligence.Industry experience in electrical engineering or computer science.Previous work experience in a law firm environment.
