The attorney will be responsible for patent preparation and prosecution, with a focus on electrical engineering or computer science. The successful candidate should possess a high level of academic achievement, solid law firm, engineering, and industry experience, along with exceptional writing and communication skills. Preferred expertise includes patent prosecution in electrical engineering or software-related technologies, data science/AI, networking technologies (especially network security), machine learning/artificial intelligence, and hardware security.Duties:Conducting legal research and analysis related to patent preparation and prosecution.Drafted and filed patent applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Responding to office actions and communicating with patent examiners.Collaborating with inventors, engineers, and clients to understand and evaluate technical aspects of inventions.Providing legal advice and counseling on intellectual property matters.Requirements:2+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.Degree in electrical engineering or computer science.Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to the USPTO.Certifications:Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Skills:High level of academic achievement.Strong legal research and analysis skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Solid understanding of electrical engineering or computer science principles.Experience in patent prosecution in relevant technologies (electrical engineering, software-related, data science/AI, networking, machine learning/AI, hardware security).Ability to collaborate effectively with inventors, engineers, and clients.
