Junior to Mid-level Associate Attorney

A law firm in Atlanta is seeking a Junior to Mid-level Associate Attorney with a focus on patent preparation and prosecution. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering or computer science, coupled with a strong academic background and excellent communication skills.Duties:Conduct patent prosecution in electrical engineering, software-related technologies, data science/AI, networking technologies (with an emphasis on network security), machine learning/artificial intelligence, and hardware security.Provide legal counsel on intellectual property matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Draft and review patent applications, responses to office actions, and other legal documents.Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand technical concepts and innovations.Requirements:Minimum of 2 years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.Degree in electrical engineering or computer science.Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Solid law firm, engineering, and industry experience.Exceptional academic achievement.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree.Bachelor's or higher degree in electrical engineering or computer science.Certifications:Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Skills:Strong understanding of patent laws and regulations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in drafting and reviewing patent applications.Familiarity with electrical engineering, software-related technologies, data science/AI, networking technologies (especially network security), machine learning/artificial intelligence, and hardware security.Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.
