The Field Operations Division is responsible for the enforcement and maintenance of all parking areas.Application Review DateThe First Review Date for this job is: Monday, August 5, 2024ResponsibilitiesMaintain an intimate working knowledge of parking permit types for the Berkeley campus and other UC affiliates.Conduct pre-shift informational briefings and work assignments.Prepare and distribute daily activity reports.Issue parking citations and warning notices to vehicles in violation of the California Vehicle Code.Provide information to visitors and resolve customer complaints.Oversee and immobilize illegally parked vehicles.Request towing of illegally parked vehicles.Operate two-way radio using phonetic alphabet and radio codes.Inspect and report poor lot conditions.Provide training in the proper use of all vehicles and equipment.Supervise and conduct parking lot surveys.Hiring and training of new employees.Serve on interview panels.Complete staff performance reviews.Required QualificationsMinimum 2 Years Parking Enforcement Supervisory or Equivalent Experience.Experience with general clerical skills.Communication skills, written and verbal.Organizational skills with attention to detail.Microsoft Office technology; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.Education/Training:Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.Salary & BenefitsThe budgeted salary range for this position is $66,700.00 - $91,600.00.This is a 100%, full-time (40 hours per week), career position that is eligible for full UC benefits.How to ApplyTo apply, please submit your resume and cover letter.Conviction History BackgroundThis is a designated position requiring fingerprinting and a background check.Driving RequiredA valid driver's license and DMV check for driving record is required.Diversity StatementPlease include a brief statement on your contributions to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in your professional experience.Equal Employment OpportunityThe University of California is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
