Position Summary:

The Business Development Manager is key in growing our company into the private and public sectors for general contractor construction projects. This role is pivotal in locating and continuing relationships with our clients. The Business Development Manager will work closely with the President, Chief Estimator, and clients to build rapport with long-lasting relationships.

Key Responsibilities:• Develop and implement business development procedures and presentation materials.• Deliver effective and professional sales meetings and presentations.• Identify, prospect, and grow current clients' relationships by coordinating meetings, attending events, joining organizations that would benefit the company, and networking.• Maintain company social media accounts.• Coordinate with other departments to seamlessly transition from obtaining new clients to estimating phases.• Provide weekly reporting on new business development activities.• Exceeding sales objectives weekly.• Researches and analyzes target market sectors to identify potential clients and partners. Utilizes databases to record sales contacts and opportunities and to obtain and retain project and company information for inclusion in marketing and proposal products.• Continuously evaluates target market sectors to stay up to date on trends and be informed of opportunities before becoming public knowledge, and strategically position B2 Constructors for responding to RFQs/RFPs• Recommends sales strategies for dealing with obstacles, customer objections, or competitive situations.• Responsible for getting involved in target organizations to help position B2 Constructors for future success.• Develop business development budget estimates and manage such budgets without overruns.• Monitor real estate and construction activity in trade publications, public records, and the Internet.• Identify potential new customers and create lead generation.• Capture opportunities to assist clients in budgeting and pre-construction phases.

Candidate Requirements:• High levels of accuracy and efficiency• Must be a critical thinker at all times.• The desire for continued self-development of oneself and one's team.• Highly detailed• Highly competent and technical• Highly effective as a leader• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and work collaboratively in a team environment.• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills• Ability to work with minimal direction.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction business development• Proficiency in researching and identifying company stakeholders, setting initial meetings, and managing sales pipelines.• Ability to run meetings and experience presenting to executives and key stakeholders.• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a desire to succeed and exceed targets.• Experience in the commercial construction industry.• Proficient with computer software programs• Proven ability to create new business and client relationships.• Able and willing to work overtime and under pressure as needed to meet tight deadlines.• Drive and be willing to learn and understand B2 Constructors' market sectors and differentiators.• Track record of success in past roles, developing business-to-business relationships and generating opportunities to win commercial construction contracts.• Develop individual client relationship management plans for specific clients and be accountable for regular relationship building and business growth with these clients.• Ability to demonstrate established performance in fast-moving environments with challenging deadlines and requirements.• Ability to work effectively with diverse and strong personalities.• Having a goal-oriented mindset with a record of overachieving.• Exceeding monthly revenue targets.
