Mid-level Patent Agent

The law firm is seeking a Mid-level Patent Agent to join its team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, possess solid law firm, engineering, or industry experience, and excel in both written and verbal communication.Duties:Conducting patent preparation and prosecution in the areas of electrical engineering, software-related technologies, data science/AI, networking technologies (especially network security), machine learning/artificial intelligence, and hardware security.Collaborating with inventors, attorneys, and clients to understand and articulate complex technical concepts.Analyzing and interpreting patent-related documents, including prior art, to support patent prosecution efforts.Drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate searches and analyses.Requirements:Bachelor or advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer science.Admission to the USPTO is required.4+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.Strong understanding of patent laws and regulations.Preferred Experience:Patent prosecution in electrical engineering or software-related technologies.Experience in data science/AI, networking technologies (especially network security), machine learning/artificial intelligence, and hardware security.Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Analytical and research skills for patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.Collaboration and interpersonal skills for working with inventors, attorneys, and clients.Technical proficiency in electrical engineering, software-related technologies, data science/AI, networking technologies, machine learning/artificial intelligence, and hardware security.Company infoBCG Attorney Search1629 K ST NW, Suite 300WashingtonDistrict of ColumbiaUnited States 20006Phone :
