Mid-level Patent Agent

The law firm is seeking a Mid-level Patent Agent to join their team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, substantial law firm or industry experience, and exceptional writing and communication skills. The candidate should hold a degree in electrical engineering or computer science and possess expertise in patent prosecution, with a focus on electrical engineering or software-related technologies. Experience in data science, AI, networking technologies (especially network security), machine learning/artificial intelligence, and hardware security is highly encouraged. Admission to the USPTO is a prerequisite for this role.Duties:Conducting patent preparation and prosecution activities with a focus on electrical engineering or software-related technologies.Handling patent prosecution matters related to data science, AI, networking technologies (especially network security), machine learning/artificial intelligence, and hardware security.Collaborating with inventors, attorneys, and clients to understand and develop patent portfolios.Providing legal advice and opinions on patent-related matters.Requirements:A degree in electrical engineering or computer science.4+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.Admission to the USPTO.Preferred Experience:Patent prosecution in electrical engineering or software-related technologies.Experience in data science, AI, networking technologies (especially network security), machine learning/artificial intelligence, and hardware security.Skills:Strong academic achievement.Excellent writing and communication skills.Solid law firm, engineering, or industry experience.Expertise in patent preparation and prosecution.Knowledge of electrical engineering or software-related technologies.Familiarity with data science, AI, networking technologies, machine learning/artificial intelligence, and hardware security.
