$10,000 Sign on BonusSchedule: 40 hours, days/evenings; 4 x 10 hour shifts. On-call requirements.The Certified Surgical Technologist is an integral member of the Surgical Team. Primary responsibilities include:Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures by:
Assembling supplies, equipment, and instrumentation required for the procedure.Performing counting procedures in concert with the RN circulator.Assisting with placement of sterile drapes.Providing instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure.Maintaining an organized sterile field.Ensuring sterility of the field and taking corrective actions as needed.Preparing sterile dressings.
Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and preparation of the room for subsequent patients.Participate in ongoing educational and competency activities.Precept staff to the surgical technician job duties, including surgical technicians, nurses, and students.Maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information.About Brigham and Women's Faulkner HospitalBrigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, an affiliate of Mass General Brigham, is committed to supporting patient care, research, teaching, and service to the community.
