(and non-psychiatric patients when necessary)

either on psychiatric or non-psychiatric units such as medical/surgical floors, PICU, or the Emergency Department. Behavioral Care Partners will care for children including activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and the management of harmful behaviors. Behavioral Care Partners deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families as supervised and delegated by the RN/LVN. Behavioral Care Partners deliver care with a team-oriented approach and an emphasis on good customer relations.Hours:

18:30 - 07:00 2 days per weekEducation/Experience:High school Diploma.One of the following :

(1)

Completion of a certified Nurse Assistant course.

Or (2)

Completion of Medical Assistant course or comparable health care provider program with course work in patient assessment/vital signs, growth, and development.

Or (3)

Completed first clinical semester in an accredited nursing program.Experience in inpatient psychiatry or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred.Pediatric experience preferred.Certification/Licensure:BLS or must be completed within 60 days of start date.CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Childrens Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date.About Us:Cook Children's Medical Center
