DescriptionUnder the direction of the Audiologist IV, the Audiologist I is responsible for evaluating the hearing of children and providing therapy for patients with hearing loss.QualificationsMinimum EducationMaster's Degree or Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Required)Minimum Work Experience0 years Will consider recent Master's/Aud Level graduates. (Required)2 years (Preferred)Required Licenses and CertificationsMust be licensed in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia (in VA, Hearing Aid Dispenser's license also required). Must have licensure prior to starting in the primary work location/state. Other state licensure must be obtained within 30 days upon hire. Certificate of clinical competency in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Required)Functional AccountabilitiesClinical Evaluation and Hearing Aid AssessmentConduct audiological evaluations and hearing aid evaluations in an efficient manner using the appropriate test procedures.Conducts Parent Counseling & Makes RecommendationsCounsels parents and children regarding test findings and recommendations.Makes all appropriate referrals.Clinical Caseload ManagementCounsels parents and children regarding test findings and recommendations.Makes all appropriate referrals.Equipment MaintenanceCalibrate and troubleshoot equipment as needed.Clinical ReportingReport test results in an accurate manner using appropriate format.Safety
