At Hoag, we are committed to ensuring that no one needs to leave Orange County to receive world-class, personalized, accessible health care.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Chief of Staff for the Hoag Hospital Foundation serves as a strategic partner and key advisor to the President and her senior leadership team, providing high-level operational support and ensuring the efficient execution of the organization's strategic goals. On behalf of the President, the CoS will manage critical projects, facilitate communication across departments, help streamline operational effectiveness, oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives, and represent the President internally and externally, as needed. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication and organizational skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics. This role directly oversees key programs and functional areas, including Communications, External & Board Relations, the Grateful Patient Program, and various strategic initiatives, ensuring their effective implementation and management. Additionally, the CoS will support the Foundation’s administrative functions, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness in support of the Foundation’s fundraising priorities.Key responsibilities include:Partnering with senior leaders in short- and long-range planning and implementing major cross-functional projects.Identifying gaps and opportunities to ensure organizational cohesion and functionality while translating the President’s vision into tangible results.Developing and executing training programs to ensure the success of leaders within the organization.Fostering a culture of strategic vision, inclusiveness, and collaboration.This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, board members, hospital leadership, and community partners. Furthermore, the CoS will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of the Foundation’s mission, working closely with the Board and other senior leaders, and fostering a culture of collaboration and alignment with the Foundation's values.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Proven track record in strategic planning, program development, and execution, preferably in designing and implementing donor engagement programs, particularly within a grateful patient context.Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a strategic and innovative mindset.A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role or equivalent.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, OneNote, Teams, and SharePoint.Hoag is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
