Chief of Staff

(COS) to support our growing business. This role will be located in Seattle, WA and will provide high value, impactful support for our executive leadership, focused on our President and our Executive Vice President (EVP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience in complex, matrixed organizations. The COS will have a strategic view of the organization and work effectively with the President, EVP and other leaders to drive our business forward.What you’ll do:Facilitate the effectiveness of the President and EVP, including preparation for important internal and external meetings (examples: all hands, Board, client, and investor meetings).Support, anticipate, and facilitate the rhythm of the business for the President and EVP.Conduct pre-meeting prospect research and deliver prep materials to the team.Attend key meetings on behalf of the Executive Leadership team and track key takeaways and actions.Develop working draft materials including sales and business development, statements of work, project plans, operational projects, and thought leadership deliverables.Support President and EVP prioritization, calling out urgent matters to help enable the team to effectively focus on the mission, goals, and priorities of the organization.Support ad-hoc initiatives and projects, such as the company’s annual offsite.Up to 25% consulting delivery.Administrative support as needed to enhance the effectiveness and productivity of the Executive Leadership team.Skills you’ll need to be successful in the role:A passion for and experience in climate transition and climate policy work and a commitment to continuous learning.5+ years of demonstrated experience in complex organizations, with a track record of successfully managing multiple projects and initiatives.Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to synthesize actions, prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines.Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize information and present it in a clear and concise manner.Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.Entrepreneurial and flexible mindset with the ability to build trust and work independently.Comfortable with ambiguity; the ability to structure ideas into actionable plans.Comfort with serving as a primary ‘go to’ support system for executive leaders.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce – with an emphasis on PowerPoint.An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.Compensation and Benefits:Salary for this role is $140,000 - $180,000, and will be commensurate upon your background and experience, plus performance-based bonus and equity options.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
