Manager or Senior Manager

to support our growing Transition Strategy and Execution line of business. This role is hybrid, preference for PST time zone. What you’ll do: Serve as an engagement lead and/or subject matter advisor for team-based strategy and execution consulting projects. Oversee project and client management in partnership with leadership to ensure objectives are met within scope and timeline. Develop strategies to achieve sustainability goals for global corporations. Drive business case and impact estimate development for sustainability-focused projects and programs, including but not limited to climate, water, and waste-related initiatives. Design and implement governance and portfolio models to help organizations translate sustainability strategies into action. Convert research and analysis into synthesized content for storytelling to client executives. Create high-quality deliverables that meet and exceed project requirements. Support and lead consulting sales pursuits from lead generation, proposal development, to opportunity close. (NOTE: Senior Managers have contribution sales target and managed revenue targets.) Manage and mentor 1 to 3 earlier career team members to support professional development, consulting delivery, and enable exceptional outcomes and shared learning and development across teams. Minimum Qualifications: Existing sustainability expertise (may include Climate, Water, Nature, Biodiversity, and/or Waste & Circularity). Comfort applying strategy consulting tools and methodologies within a sustainability context. Practical experience implementing sustainability programs and projects and understanding the nuances and implications. Experience designing, building, and launching new business models (including circular and regenerative business models). Expertise in financial AND carbon accounting. Expertise in Scope 3 CO2e emissions, including Forests, Land, and Agriculture (FLAG) emissions. Experience and understanding of existing and emerging global policies and standards including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), ISSB, TNFD, GRI, PRI, SFDR, CSRD, EUDR, CARB, WA CCA, SEC (proposed) rules, and other related policies and standards. Skills you’ll need to be successful in the role: 8 - 10 years of professional experience, with a preference for candidates with 5+ years in corporate strategy, sustainability consulting, and strategic execution of related projects. Preferably hold a graduate degree such as MBA, MS, MEM, MA, etc. Demonstrated ability to build lasting client relationships, deliver high-quality work, and manage successful projects in a fast-paced environment. Experience building and leading consulting teams. Experience using financial modeling, data analytics, and visualization to create business cases that quantify return on investment (ROI) and return on carbon (ROC) impacts. Clear and direct communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analysis into concise insights and identify relevancy to different audiences. Ability to facilitate large group meetings and lead, design, and manage client trainings and workshops. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with client partners. Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations and nature of start-ups/young businesses. Competent and comfortable with the Microsoft Office Suite, Google products, Salesforce, and data visualization tools. Interest in building and managing sustainable businesses. Willingness to travel. If that sounds exciting – come join us. Compensation and Benefits: Salary range for this role is $150,000 - $225,000. Title and salary offered will be commensurate with your experience, plus performance-based bonus and equity options. Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
