This position will hold a central role in shaping and implementing strategies to direct state legislative and regulatory activities and grow the organization's political action committee.Successful candidates will be responsible for representing our organization's interests on matters related to state licensure and regulation as well as PAC operations.The impact of this role will be measured by the ability to drive policy changes at the state level and ensure the organization has a robust political action committee.What you'll be doing

The PAC Manager will focus on two areas of activity:

Operations for the organization's political action committeeOverseeing government affairs activities at the state level

The PAC Manager will:

Benchmark the organization's PAC with other similar sized companies for the purpose of setting fundraising goals.Manage the governance of the PAC via the PAC Board.Set fundraising targets and initiate fundraising campaigns.Manage compliance and reporting requirements associated with the PAC.Manage reporting requirements associated with lobbying reports.Oversee disbursements as well as the upkeep of banking information related to the PAC.Identify and engage with key partners, policymakers, and regulatory bodies at the state level.Track legislative and regulatory developments that may impact the company's operations.Monitor developments that impact the organization at state legislatures and at the relevant state agencies for the purpose providing organizational leaders with real time intelligence.Collaborate with business partners (Marketing, Regulatory, Medical, Communications) on product launches, supply chain logistics and assessing regulatory burden.Build and maintain strong relationships with key state lawmakers and state administration officials.Collaborate with internal functions, including legal, compliance, policy, and regulatory teams, to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations across state statutes.

What you'll bring

Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience (3+ years) in government affairs, PAC operations, public policy, or related fields.Familiarity with U.S. political and regulatory environments.Strong analytical skills and critical thinking capabilities, with the ability to anticipate and respond effectively to emerging challenges and opportunities.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.Baxter is committed to supporting the needs for flexibility in the workplace. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $112,000 to $168,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
