JOB SUMMARY:
The IT Director is responsible for overseeing the technology strategy and operations of the organization. This role involves leading the IT department in implementing and managing information systems that support the business's goals and objectives. The IT Director ensures that the organization's IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable to meet current and future needs.
JOB DUTIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide day-to-day oversight of IT Infrastructure, processes and operations ensuring system reliability and data security best practices.
Develop Cybersecurity strategies and eliminate security risks and vulnerabilities.
Mentor team, direct project priorities and foster high quality communication.
Help define, scale and support data analytics strategy utilizing best in class software solutions and business practices.
Proactively communicate status of various projects and initiatives to key stakeholders leveraging software tools to track and measure success.
Contribute to the development of an IT strategy. Collaborate with department heads across the organization and key stakeholders for the coordination and alignment of objectives and functions across multiple functional areas.
Devise and establish IT SOPs to support the implementation of strategies that align with business objectives.
Responsible for the delivery and support of business systems, including the deployment of cloud-based computing services (servers, storage, ERP, POS, databases, networking, software, & analytics).
Handle all IT equipment purchasing and tracking, hardware, software, active licenses etc.
Partner with departments to ensure their confidence in technology systems and functions, communicate technology updates, and provide the information, tools, and training needed for optimal performance.
Evaluate and approve all Infrastructure system changes impacting retail operations, facility operations, and corporate operations, including hardware, software, and process.
Responsible for quality assurance review and adherence to standards, change management policies and enterprise methodologies.
Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the organization's infrastructure and applications.
Forecast system demands and recommend technology upgrades & expansions as needed.
Manage the sourcing and selection process of contract resources and vendors related to all company IT functions.
Assists in procurement of contract resources as needed; manage and maintain relationship with vendors and ensure services are delivered to agree upon contract terms.
Manage and oversee third party audits.
Implement and modify operating system upgrades and maintenance, interfaces and legacy enhancements; formulate and define system scope and solution design for new projects.
Manage technology operating budget, develop financial forecasts, maintain and enhance asset management systems.
Be a change agent for both IT and Business teams to educate and gain adoption of new technologies and solutions.
Ensure confidentiality and reliability of corporate data, proprietary information and intellectual property.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises the Helpdesk, Retail and Facilities Administrators
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 7+ years of experience designing, implementing and supporting enterprise-level IT infrastructure.
Operational experience standardizing, scaling and automating IT systems.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, business administration or related field
7+ years networking expertise specifically with Cisco Meraki equipment. HA Failover, performance enhancements, monitoring, security and WIFI network architecture.
Cloud-based applications including expert knowledge in Office 365 is required; experience with ERP and POS systems strongly preferred
Strong project management experience & skills required.
Experience devising technical road map and strategy while ensuring milestones achieved
Broad knowledge of information technology processing systems, concepts and methodologies; Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
Knowledge of enterprise architecture as it relates to integrating business systems, API based solutions, bridging back-end and front-end data business systems.
Excellent organizational skills: must be able to multi-task under time constraints, prioritize and respond quickly to a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to establish strong credibility and build relationships, operate in an environment of ambiguity, and maintain strict confidentiality.
