Risk & ComplianceAssociate Director, Ethics & IntegrityJob ID: 90033Who You'll Work WithYou will be part of McKinsey's Ethics & Compliance function, whose mission is to enable McKinsey's client impact and innovation, while managing risks to the firm, our clients, and our people. The Ethics & Compliance function is a globally integrated team within the second line of defense of the firm. This role reports directly to the Director of Ethics and will preferably be based out of one of our US hubs, with other US and global locations considered.What You'll DoYou will play a key role in building and driving our firm-wide ethics and integrity capabilities by overseeing strategic, operational, and organizational initiatives as well as the day-to-day execution of the Ethics' Infusing Integrity Program. You will ensure holistic ethics global programming and communication of the firm's values.Specifically, you will own development of the end-to-end execution of the global infusing integrity program while working directly with global People, Risk, Compliance, and Legal colleagues to embed a consistent and resonant approach across our firm. You will have responsibility for keeping the firm's code of conduct relevant and evergreen, creating integrity and leadership training content, creating and maintaining an annual disclosure program, and managing any attendant technologies and vendors. You will assist in the design and implementation of the holistic program to infuse integrity into the fabric of the firm, including the creation and incorporation of integrity content into existing and new firm training, artifacts, and programming. This role will also support the implementation of existing and future conflicts of interest and disclosure programs and ethics-related regulatory mandates.You will identify and leverage internal and external data and emerging trends to enable regular reporting, actionable insights, and compelling recommendations for our program to infuse a culture of integrity across all communications, artifacts, meetings-in-a-box, and colleague lifecycle processes. You will leverage your expertise to drive content recommendations for changes to firm policies, standards, and training based upon the insights you gain from data, benchmarking, and academic theories (including but not limited to behavioral economics, nudge theory, and psychological safety).You will manage external inquiries and requests related to the Ethics program, and lead and track regulatory monitoring and compliance, such as the EU Whistleblower Directive Program or external benchmarking. You will develop solutions tailored to the unique needs of our firm and the expectations of regulators, and you will be expected to collaborate and align a varied set of stakeholders across all firm functions on the programmatic needs of the firm while also being a pivotal contributor to the overall change management process. You will effectively operationalize priorities across stakeholders to drive impact and develop and communicate a compelling vision and inspire others to action.You will be given latitude to drive and own relevant organizational, operational, or strategic Ethics initiatives and engage in collaborative partnership with other Ethics & Compliance colleagues and stakeholders.QualificationsProfessional law degree (JD) strongly preferred10+ years of relevant combined professional experience in ethics, compliance, and/or risk in a large complex organization5+ years of experience in developing, driving, and implementing holistic ethics or culture education and awareness program content, including robust conflicts of interest program experience3+ years of experience in regulatory enforcementHighly effective communicator with strong personal presence and credibilityExperience in preparing reports and presentations for leadership and identifying and communicating emerging risks and pattern recognitionAdept at influencing and engaging with all types of audiences to cultivate trust-based, peer-counselor relationshipsStrong entrepreneurial drive and ownership mentality to progress on ambiguous problems and see them through to resolutionExceptional organizational and project management skills, with ability to drive global projects to outcomes, including on cross-functional and complex topicsExhibit highest levels of discretion and judgment in safeguarding confidential materialsPassion for people development and experience leading teams and cross-functional teamsDemonstrated track record of enabling a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive environment for all colleagues across an organizationApply NowApply LaterFOR U.S. APPLICANTS: McKinsey & Company is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer. For new joiners for this role in the United States, including all office locations where the job may be performed, a reasonable estimated range is $196,000 - $262,000 -to help you understand what you can expect. This reflects our best estimate of the lowest to highest salary/hourly wages for this role at the time of this posting, ensuring you have a clear picture right from the start, though it's important to remember that actual salaries may vary. Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date, and our current organizational needs all play a part in determining the final figure.
