The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology is seeking a benign hematologist. Applicant must have an M.D. degree or equivalent from an approved LCME medical school and satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency program from an ACGME accredited program. This position will cover patients in Clements University Hospital, the UT Southwestern Outpatient Blood Disorders Clinic, and both inpatient and outpatient at Parkland Health and Hospital System. The ideal candidate will actively contribute to existing clinical research opportunities and teach UTSW students, housestaff, and hematology and oncology fellows. UT Southwestern has a Comprehensive Adult Hemophilia Program and a large and renowned pediatric and adult sickle cell program. Opportunities for mentored clinical and translational research in these and other blood disorders are abundant. Academic appointment will be in the Department of Internal Medicine's Division of Hematology and Oncology.

Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.

This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
