Southwest is seeking an individual to work alongside and under the supervision of the Director of Strategic Communications. The Coordinator of Marketing supports the College by executing day-to-day marketing initiatives that promote the institution's brand and increase its visibility. This role is responsible for developing and managing marketing campaigns, coordinating advertising efforts, and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets to ensure positive representation of the College. The Marketing Coordinator collaborates with other employees to produce digital media and print publications, social media content, and assist with media relations efforts. By focusing on daily marketing and advertising tasks, this position ensures that the College's messaging is effectively communicated across all platforms in alignment with the institution's goals and objectives.
This position requires a one-year probationary period for both new hires and transfers.
Special AssignmentsMay be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.KSA's/Required QualificationsExceptional people skillsExceptional writing and verbal skillsProven ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneouslyProficient in a number of relevant software programs (such as Adobe Creative Cloud or Affinity, Salesforce CRM)Proficient with audio/video/photo capture and editing equipment (such as digital cameras, microphones, lighting etc.)Experienced in developing and managing traditional and digital advertising campaignsMarketing & research experienceProven ability to initiate and sustain media relationshipsUnderstanding and proficiency in developing news media content, photography, videography, and other creative media.
