Must be strong from an administrative standpoint
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform incoming inspection of raw materials and componentsComplete dimensional checks and report on product.In-process inspections of manufactured product during manufacturing & prior to shipping.Cross checks of product at each stage of operations to prints/drawings, quality work instructions, control plan and visual criteria.Communicate quality issues to appropriate personnel and with shift leaders in a timely manner.Issue gages to employees and ensure gauges are calibrated and properly identified.Trains Operators on proper uses of gages and quality documentsVerify operators perform required quality checks and ensure results are recorded in the kiosk software system.
QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required1 - 2 years of experience in a related Quality function.Experience auditing and inspection of production parts and processes preferredThe individual must have a solid understanding of metal fabrication concepts and processes.The individual can read calipers, micrometers, blueprints, and can do basic proficient shop math.Must have strong MS Excel skillsMust have attention to detail and be self-directed to accommodate the department needs.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsPre-employment drug screen and physical is required.
