We are in search of a Director of Development based in Baltimore, MD at Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center (LTYC) who will be responsible for crafting and implementing a robust fundraising strategy to ensure revenue. Key duties involve overseeing LTYC team members, board members, consultants, and volunteers to efficiently plan and execute fundraising activities. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of spearheading successful campaigns and showcasing exceptional organizational abilities in expanding funding streams from various sources such as corporations, foundations, and individual donors that align with LTYC's fundraising goals and timelines. Furthermore, the Director of Development will play a crucial role in formulating both immediate and future fundraising strategies to be reviewed and approved by the executive team and board members at LTYC. Responsibilities: • Devise and implement a comprehensive fund development plan in collaboration with the LTYC Team to enhance revenue streams and align with the organization's strategic goals. • Evaluate the efficacy of fundraising activities, establish timelines, and manage fundraising events effectively. • Formulate ethical fundraising policies and procedures for the development team to adhere to best practices. • Assist the development team in preparing and submitting grant applications for funding opportunities. • Present proposals to potential donors and stakeholders and spearhead special fundraising events. • Identify and cultivate corporate, community, and individual prospects to support fundraising priorities. • Supervise a donor management system ensuring the confidentiality of donor information. • Coordinate volunteer efforts in soliciting in-kind donations and arrange in-person meetings with funders. • Organize fundraising mixer events and manage platforms like Instrumental, Little Green Light, and Giving Fuel. Qualifications: • BA/BS degree or higher in nonprofit management, business, finance, public relations or a related field • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with non-profit fundraising and business development with expertise in organizing and leading group efforts toward a goal • Successful professional track record in fundraising work for an education-related organization or a non-profit organization • 3 to 5 years of experience in revenue generation and prior experience with direct mail campaigns, major donors, events, endowments, or other campaigns as needed • Ability to operate computers and possess basic knowledge of MS Windows, Microsoft Word, and other software • Excellent organizational skills • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills • Positive attitude, high level of professionalism, enthusiasm, and customer service • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

• Ability to travel • Reliable personal transportation and must possess a current driver’s license, good driving record, and auto insurance coverage Compensation: $35 - $40 hourly
