Technical Sales Manager - Perennials , will be the trusted advisor, guiding growers and the sales team toward products that will flourish. You'll craft strategies that won't just increase sales but will also help Ball Seed gain significant market share in North America.

Nestled in West Chicago, the company stands as a global leader in breeding and distributing flowers and vegetables. Amidst the beauty of their 60 acre display gardens, which burst into bloom from May to September, an exciting role has opened-a role that can shape the future of perennials in North America.

A day in the life:

Your role will be the bridge between growers, sales teams, and the future of perennials. You'll:

Train and empower Sales Representatives, helping them understand what customers truly value in perennials and how our solutions are uniquely positioned to meet those needs.Drive growth in various product forms, from unrooted cuttings and liners to seed and bare root perennials, ensuring North American growers thrive with our products.Target key accounts to grow market share, turning potential into thriving partnerships.Work closely with the Ball Seed Leadership Team, aligning strategies and resource allocation to ensure sustainable growth.Lead and participate in customer and industry events, using your marketing and promotional expertise to leave a lasting impact.Collaborate with the BHC Tech Team, troubleshooting and creating sharable resources for broader industry benefit.Stay ahead of market trends and opportunities, always ready to pivot and drive the next wave of innovation in the perennial space.Requirements

What You Bring:

You are not just a technical expert-you're a visionary. Your qualifications include:

Hands-on experience in growing perennials and a proven ability to inspire others.A minimum of 5 years in sales or technical support for growers, coupled with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Horticulture or a related field.Deep technical knowledge of perennial crops.A hunger for new challenges and an energetic, enthusiastic approach to tackling them.A knack for building strong partnerships and delivering customer-focused solutions.Stellar planning skills, ensuring that your work aligns with the organization's broader goals.A willingness to travel 50% of the time, getting hands-on with growers and customers across North America.Physical Requirements:

In this dynamic role, you'll:

Be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 10 pounds for a small portion of your day.Spend the majority of your time sitting, standing, and occasionally kneeling or reaching at times in a warm and moist environment (outside or greenhouse environment)
