DescriptionBall Horticultural Company is a leading breeder and distributor of flowers and vegetables around the globe. Located in the suburb of West Chicago (near Naperville and Geneva), our 60-acre property boasts 10 acres of display gardens. The gardens are primarily used as a sales and marketing tool but also provide a great relaxation opportunity for staff at the home office. Perennials, annuals, vegetables, roses, and shrubs are blooming from May through September.Our customers are wholesale and retail growers throughout North America. Come work with our talented Call Center team, providing full spectrum support to our customers by utilizing strong interpersonal skills to supply product information, place customer orders, and resolve related problems. Our target is to ensure excellent service standards and maintain high customer satisfaction.Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Answer incoming calls year-round from Ball customers to assist customers with inquiries, orders, pricing, claims, tracking information.Qualify potential customers, establishing new customer accounts as needed to effectively set up new accounts ensures a growing customer base.Handle customer concerns, working to provide appropriate solutions to build communication and trust with our customers, resulting in strong satisfaction.Cross train in all Customer Relations functions. Having a strong knowledge base in all areas of service builds employee confidence, resulting in a more positive customer experience. This also allows employees to offer strong peer support to co-workers.Provide full spectrum support to customers regarding product selection, placement of orders, order confirmation, order changes, pricing information, and claims entry in a reliable and timely manner.Perform order tracking and investigative work involving plant tags, freight, and backordered plant material with necessary follow-up to customers and other interested parties.Assist in executing reports and documents used to help customers rebook orders each season.Handle phone and email inquiries regarding literature requests.Support the department by taking on additional responsibilities and special projects as needed.Requirements

At least 2 years of customer service, marketing, or inside sales experience required.High School Diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor degree in business, marketing, sales, and/or horticulture preferred.Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP software systems are a plus. Must be proficient with Excel.Demonstrated experience in working well independently as well as part of a team.Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills required.Competency in French or Spanish would be looked upon favorably.Resourcefulness: Orchestrate multiple activities simultaneously to accomplish a goal.Manages Complexity: Make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.Nimble Learning: Take on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks.Resiliency: Maintain a positive attitude despite adversity.Seeking a team member with a positive, professional, customer-focused demeanor who has an aptitude for learning new information and a passion for servicing customers!Physical Requirements
