Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to fill a full-time or part-time year-round role. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail oriented and someone who is a team player that would enjoy being part of the Spruce Point Inn Resort & Spa. This role will p

erform a variety of maintenance functions such as installations, general maintenance and repair of equipment, HVAC, painting, wall repair, tile work and upkeep of the facility through the preventative maintenance program of the resort. This role works closely with different members of the operation as well as frequent interaction with resort guests.

Must be US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, or have Work Authorization.

Position is not eligible for H2B, J1, or other similar visa.

Below is an abridged overview of duties and responsibilities.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:Perform general maintenance of building and facility; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.Performs general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring and air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors.Make repairs on plumbing fixtures, piping, drains and sanitary systems.Make repairs to woodwork, wall vinyl, doors and window, carpeting, etc.Performs general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment.Keeps records as required by company policy and procedures. Maintains logs on completed tasks. Prepares reports as requested by supervisors. Submits all requested reports/logs in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Experience working in a Maintenance role at a hotel, inn or resort preferred.Knowledge of common vocational skills (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc.)Engaging and welcoming personalityStrong attention to detail & resultsAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.Excellent communication skillsShift Flexibility to include nights and weekends during season (mid-May thru mid-October)Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull throughout duration of shift.Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
