FIS is hiring a SRE for our innovative Platform Service Delivery team. As an SRE team member, you will participate in all of the day-to-day activities of operating the payment infrastructure to help maintain high stability, reduced Service Downtime, and improve Quality of Service for FIS clients.This could involve working with bleeding-edge technology while coding, configuring, implementing, maintaining, and supporting. The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will focus on Scalability, High Availability, Performance, Stability, and Reliability of Software Applications. The SRE will build automations to simplify operations and processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams to create proactive engineering mechanisms, and ensure positive end-user experiences.The SRE with a good understanding of Products & interdependencies, with a blend of pragmatic, operational, and software development skills, will apply sound engineering principles, operational discipline, and mature automation to our operating environments and the codebase.Responsibilities:Participate and Lead the Day-to-Day Operations of the Team for Changes and IncidentsLead Incident Triage Calls and Follow up on Root Cause AnalysisConfiguring and Deploying Product Releases into Production and verifying for Quality workParticipating in Data Center and Infrastructure Change activitiesDeveloping Monitoring and Alerting for Payments PlatformHelp identify repetitive non-value adding tasks and be hands-on in coding and scripting to automate themActively Participate and Contribute in Team Meetings and Team Building activitiesWhat you will need:At least 2-3 years of experience and knowledge of building and supporting application infrastructure in a private and/or public cloudAutomation Tools associated with Infrastructure as Code, deployment, and configuration management (Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Harness)Knowledgeable of engineering practices (source control systems, release, and deployment patterns)Experience and good understanding of Networking (Load Balancers, Firewalls, Virtual IPs, DNS, Network Translation, etc.)Hands-on Unix Shell Scripting, Perl/Python programming experienceHands-on experience in Engineering environments (Cloud Service Providers (Azure), Private Cloud)Experienced with Engineering deployment technologies (containers, databases, packages)2-3 years of Change Management experience on ITSM Tools like Service NowExperience Initiating and leading or participating in Resolution of Incidents2-3 years of Experience developing and/or implementing effective Monitoring on standard tools similar to Splunk and DynatraceKnowledge and Skills to comfortably work on Unix Systems, IBM Technologies like WebSphere AS and MQ and OracleSelf-starter and someone who can run with minimal supervisionAbility to interface with project teams to deliver end-to-end solutions for our external clients.Ability to be primary lead with project teams to deliver FIS OPF solutions end-to-end for our external clients.Ability to troubleshoot technical issues from a high level and understanding potential root cause areas (Networking, Database, Middleware, Operating System)Experience working comfortably with high-profile clients to effectively communicate on technical and functional levels.Added Bonus if you have:Hands-on experience in developing and implementing production monitoringExperience and good understanding of NetworkingHands-on Unix Shell Scripting, Perl/Python programming experienceGeneral Knowledge of Trends in Payments Processing Industry like RTP, ACH, and WiresWhat we offer you:A work environment built on collaboration, flexibility, and respectCompetitive salary and attractive range of benefits designed to help support your lifestyle and wellbeing (including private healthcare, 27 days of vacation, work from home, etc.)Varied and challenging work to help you grow your technical skillset
