In the role of Senior Geologist, we'll count on you to:Be viewed as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity.Perform geologic and hydrologic studies, including field work, and other hydrologic, geologic and geophysical tasks both locally and nationally.Prepare project technical reports.Review project design criteria.Gather data and design information needed for project design.Perform field work to collect data and verify existing design conditions.Oversee and review work of staff engineers.Prepare project quantities and estimates.Backcheck plans and design calculations.Attend project meetings.Coordinate design with members of the design team as required.Coordinate with public and utility agencies.Assist in research for potential project pursuits.Plan, organize and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians.May serve as Project Manager on larger projects, though project management is not sole focus of position.Perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, Hydrogeology or closely related field.A minimum of 10 years experience in environmental consulting with a successful track record of marketing, project management, staff management and client satisfaction, business development skills, familiarity of local clients and markets.Advanced degree may offset years of experience.Prior experience with field work and hazardous site assessment experience, such as Phase I, Phase II, and remediation.Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.Highly motivated self-starter.Leadership skills and ability to manage in a team environment.Excellent communication skills.May require ability to travel.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree.Minimum 10 years of engineering experience with increasing project responsibility in environmental consulting with a successful track record of marketing, project management, staff management and client satisfaction, business development skills, familiarity of local clients and markets.Experience developing construction plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates.Experience in geomorphic analysis and assessment and channel restoration design.Excellent analytical skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Working knowledge of MicroStation and AutoCAD (Civil 3D and ArcGIS are a plus).

Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. The expected compensation range for this position is $129,588.00 - $185,125.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
