We do what we say.Position DescriptionWe're looking for a full-time, staff Director, Learning & Organizational Development to join our Day & Zimmermann team. This position is responsible for driving the strategic vision and execution of learning initiatives and organizational development programs across the enterprise. This role focuses on enhancing employee skills, fostering a culture of continuous learning, agility and adaptability, and improving collective organizational performance through innovative and data-driven approaches. The Director will collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Director of Talent and Performance Management and HR business partners, to ensure that learning and development efforts are data informed and aligned with business objectives and tailored to meet the specific needs of various business groups.As the Director, Learning & Organizational Development, here's the work you'll do:Lead a team of learning and organizational development professionals to drive results through effective leadership of people and processes in support of adult learning methodologies and a culture of learning. Strategize, influence, prioritize, and deliver timely and comprehensive learning experiences that enhance organizational performance, informed by insights from talent review and succession planning, employee surveys, business partner collaboration, observations, and other feedback mechanisms.Design and lead a rigorous instructional design process to maximize knowledge transfer and application, developing programs that boost employee performance, support succession planning, and foster focused and consistent talent development. Conduct comprehensive gap analyses and needs assessments to pinpoint performance gaps and devise targeted interventions.Provide continuous guidance and expertise to support change management across the enterprise by partnering with key stakeholders to develop robust plans for implementing the change cycle and measuring effectiveness, equipping internal customers with the tools to influence and manage changes of various scopes.Oversee the execution of change management plans, including communication, training, and support activities, ensuring changes are implemented smoothly and sustainably. Continuously seek feedback to improve practices and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure successful adoption and sustainability.In partnership with the Director, Talent & Performance management, conduct assessments of organizational health and effectiveness using data-driven methodologies to inform and refine organizational development strategies. Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to track the progress and impact of organizational development initiatives, using analytics to measure success and identify areas for further improvement, staying informed about industry best practices and trends in organizational development, benchmarking the organization's practices against these standards and implementing necessary improvements.This role is for you if you have these skills:Deep understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE), and learning evaluation methodologies.Formal and applied knowledge of organizational design, change management principles, and strategies for enhancing organizational effectiveness.Strong leadership and management skills to lead a team effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Proven ability to collaborate, influence, and negotiate across functions and departments to achieve common goals and drive organizational change.Highly skilled in planning, organizing, and managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.And if you have these qualifications:Master's degree and leadership experience required. Formal coursework in adult learning theories, instructional design, and/or education is strongly preferred.Minimum of 8 years experience in progressive roles leading learning and organizational development teams and projects.Certification in facilitation and/or instructional design is strongly preferred.In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $138,240 - $207,360. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
