This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, CSM Corporation. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices.Marriott Milwaukee West is looking for a Director of Sales! The Director of Sales will develop and execute comprehensive business plans to achieve sales objectives and financial goals for the hotel. The role involves pursuing revenue opportunities, managing sales, marketing, and catering expenses, and maximizing hotel profitability.Responsibilities:Develops, implements, and maintains a comprehensive business plan that defines hotel sales objectives and supports financial goals.Accountable for aggressively pursuing business revenue goals and achieving established performance expectations.Responsible for soliciting transient, group, and extended stay group demand generators.Proactively positions and markets the hotel through effective revenue/yield management.Advises and implements changes to sales and marketing efforts based on sales and guest comments.Manages sales, marketing, and catering expenses to maximize hotel profitability.Responsible for effective labor management through proper scheduling.Prepares and manages the department budget.Interviews, hires, coaches, and develops sales employees.Evaluates staff performance and takes corrective action as needed.Motivates staff by setting goals and providing ongoing feedback.Accountable for guest satisfaction and maintaining long-term client relationships.Ensures effective communication of client needs to operational departments.Resolves complaints and concerns in a courteous manner.Trains and models appropriate guest service standards.Utilizes sales tools/systems to identify, report, forecast, and communicate sales data.Ensures integrity of sales data by documenting information daily.Responsible for ongoing training of all sales employees.Ensures all training requirements are met.Maintains a clean and safe work environment.Follows all procedures for guest/employee incidents.Demonstrates clear written and verbal communication skills.Promotes collaboration and a positive work environment.Attends all department/hotel meetings for communication and planning.Competencies/Skills Required:

3+ years of sales experience required, with a minimum of 1 year managing direct reports preferred. Must be detail-oriented and able to communicate well with all levels. Must manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver’s license required.Education:

High school diploma or GED required. College degree or equivalent experience preferred.Physical Requirements:
