About the Role:
We're on the hunt for a dynamic Associate Attorney to join the hive on behalf of our client, a well-established boutique law firm in Pasadena. In this role, you'll be responsible for handling various aspects of civil litigation with a focus on Medical Malpractice, General Liability, and Employment defense. If you're passionate about litigation and have a knack for managing complex cases, we want to meet you!
Your Mission:
Draft and Review:
Draft, review, and respond to discovery documents and motions.
Deposition Handling:
Attend, take, and defend depositions, including both fact and expert witnesses.
Research & Summarization:
Conduct legal/medical research and summarize meetings with expert witnesses, as well as various records.
Court Representation:
Attend court hearings and argue motions as necessary.
Trial Preparation:
Assist in trial preparation, including drafting trial documents and motions in limine.
What You Bring:
Education:
Graduate from an ABA-accredited law school.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on civil litigation (plaintiff or defense).
Bar Membership:
Member of the California Bar in good standing.
Skills:
Excellent writing and communication skills, ability to manage complex caseloads, and work independently with minimal oversight.
Bonus Points For:
Medical Malpractice Interest:
Interest in medical malpractice litigation preferred.
Litigation Experience:
Prior experience in medical malpractice or civil litigation defense is a plus.
Team Player:
Effective team collaboration skills are highly valued.
