The Director, Global Claims oversees and coordinates all activities of the Company's insurance claims management program. They provide strategy and best practices for the Company's claims management including a focus on loss prevention and education. They provide subject matter expertise to the Company including Supply Points, Field Operations, and Corporate. Additionally, they are responsible for oversight of the insurance broker, claims adjustors and accountants, and third-party claims administrators (TPAs) and insurers handling workers' compensation, property, and liability claims and working with our local operations. They coordinate with all stakeholders to resolve issues focusing on controlling costs and coordinating with the TPA / insurer to ensure compliance with defined Best Practices and Key Performance Indicators.

What You'll Do for Us:

Oversee all claims activity and drive claims to fair, timely and cost-effective resolution.Upper-level supervision and direction of all claim activity with the insurance broker, carrier, and third-party claim administrators.Manage the relationship with the insurance broker for claims handled under the broker's authority (workers' compensation, etc.).Provide settlement authority within Scope of Authority.Coordinate with The Coca-Cola Company and outside counsel on claims litigation management

Review lawsuits and approve defense counsel assignment.Coordinate litigation activity including litigations plans, attorney budgets, depositions, interrogatories & affidavits.

Manage the research and gathering of discovery documents required for litigation from various Company and divested systems and locations.Identify complex legal issues including jurisdictional, legislative and legal precedents.Attend mediations.Coordinate with Risk Management and Broker partners to identify and evaluate coverage issues.Coordinate and participate in claim reviews and audits.Develop and present training centered on claim best practices and loss prevention.Approve claim denials and communications.Manage claim closure projects.Negotiate claim settlements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required (Risk Management or related major a plus).15 years of progressively responsible experience in multi-line insurance claims management, encompassing casualty, property, and executive risk.Solid claims resolution experience.Proven insurance claims technical knowledge and supervisory role with insurer, TPA, or insurance broker.Claims/Risk Management Information System experience and insurance claims data analytics a plus.The successful candidate possesses multi-jurisdictional knowledge, and a strong understanding of legislation and legal precedents related to claims handling and settlement.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Persuasive strategic and analytical capability.Ability to make complex decisions, independently choosing actions that can set precedent and create financial impact to the Company.
