Director of Sales Channel Development

is responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining/growing alternative sales partners and channels at the local level to drive incremental unit volume. This role requires a nuanced approach, focusing on leveraging local market knowledge and building strong relationships with local organizations, influencers and entities to identify and execute unique opportunities that can effectively engage potential customers throughout the market lifecycle—from initial launch through to market maturity.Responsibilities include:Identify, evaluate, and establish potential alternative sales channels and partners that align with company goals and market opportunitiesEstablish and implement strategic plans to enter new channels and expand existing ones, ensuring they are effective from the pre-launch phase through market maturityDevelop and administer creative and accretive partnership and incentive structuresNegotiate and executive contracts and/or partnership agreementsCreate business requirements and oversee implementation of required lead tracking and order entry platforms and toolsLeverage cross-functional (e.g. field marketing, market development, business/residential field sales) expertise, relationships, and local knowledge expertise to identify key leverage points in market to drive salesEstablish and maintain relationships with local businesses, community organizations, real estate developers, and other key stakeholdersPartner with sales and marketing to expand the reach of existing referral programsPartner with market development, sales, and marketing to establish a set of repeatable (channel) programs to drive pre-sales efforts and generate interest during the initial construction phaseMonitor and analyze channel performance metrics/KPIs, providing actionable insights and regular reports to senior management.Utilize data-driven insights to continuously refine strategies and enhance channel effectiveness at various stages of the market lifecycle.Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, product, and sales teams to ensure cohesive messaging and promotional efforts across all channels.Align channel strategies with overall business objectives, ensuring all initiatives contribute to the company's growth and success.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience.8 or more years of sales leadership and vendor managementTelecommunications and/or technology sales preferredExperience working in a start-up business a plusExperience utilizing CRM to track activity and manage sales opportunitiesExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skillsStrong relationship building, sales skills, and business acumen, including responsiveness and technical understanding of customers’ present and future needsAbility to organize and manage multiple prioritiesWhat We Offer:Competitive Salary:
