The Defense Litigation Associate Attorney will handle complex civil litigation matters. The role requires excellent writing and analytical skills, experience in drafting and responding to discovery, preparing for and conducting depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation. The successful candidate must hold an active license to practice law in California and be a member in good standing with the state Bar.Duties:
Handle complex civil litigation mattersDraft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefsRespond to discovery requests and prepare discovery responsesConduct legal research and analysisPrepare for and conduct depositionsAssist in trial preparation and participate in trial proceedingsCommunicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courtProvide strategic legal advice and guidance to clientsManage caseload effectively and efficientlyRequirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in CaliforniaMember in good standing with the California State BarStrong litigation skills, including experience in motion practice and trial preparationExcellent writing and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesEducation:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications:
