Job Summary:

The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing the recruitment process and onboarding all new employees. This includes processing background checks, coordinating and conducting orientations, I-9 compliance as well as interpreting policies and answering employee questions. They will also provide support to the Benefits team and work hand in hand with our Manager, HR Operations and our HRBP's. This position would also support other HR team projects and initiatives as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Provides administrative and functional support in areas within the Human Resources department including but not limited to:Recruiting

Works with HRBP on the staffing requisition process and posts new positions in HRIS system.Works directly with RPO and/or Management to facilitate all aspects of the recruitment process.Serves as the first point of contact for our RPO and Hiring Manager's questions, coordinating response if needed from HR Management team.Initiates all pre-hire paperwork, including compensation information and offer approval paperwork.Sends out new hire paperwork, including offer letter and background check forms to final candidate.Facilitates the orientation of all contractors with the HRBP's and coordinates all requirements of our policies regarding contractors to ensure we are aware of their status within the organization.

Onboarding

Ensures all new hire information is complete and completes the new hire data entry process into HRIS. Creates new hire employee folders.Enters background checks and coordinates with internal HR staff for completion/ability to start based on requirements being met. Follows the SOX and other compliance requirements when it comes to background checks and ensuring process is followed.Ensures that employee has completed all necessary paperwork and policy agreements.Answers any employee questions during the onboarding process, escalates questions when needed to the appropriate HR team member as appropriate.Coordinates new hire orientation including all presentations (IST/Corporate) and acts as coordinator of all presenters/keeps hiring managers informed to ensure the first day for employee runs smoothly. Presents the HR portion of the new hire presentations for IST/Corporate.

Employment/Employee Records

Works on file room maintenance and file retention projects as needed.Provides data and answers first level auditor questions for SOX audit requests in their specific area.

Employee and HRBP Support

Researches and resolves entry to mid-level employee policy questions, escalates complex or other policy questions to other department team members as needed.

Benefits Support

Fill in as backup to Benefits Specialist for bi-weekly and IST benefits presentations as needed.Assist new hires with benefits questions and provides enrollment assistance as needed.Assist with Open Enrollment activities and set up as needed.Assist with the review of Health & Wellness reimbursements.Serves as backup to Benefits Specialist related to the administration of FMLA/leave as needed.Assist with benefits related events such as flu shots, wellness day, etc.Assist management with other projects as needed.

Department Support

Supports management and HRBP's other projects as assigned within the HR scope.Works with management on improvements on orientation, onboarding and HRIS and other areas within HR.

Supervisory Responsibilities:N/AKnowledge & Other Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of direct experience; or High School Diploma with 6 years of direct experience.Experience working in a Corporate Human Resources environment. Experience in a matrixed environment a plus.Experience coordinating and conducting new hire orientation for onsite and remote workers.Proven ability to exercise sound judgment when facilitating HR processes and determining next steps.Strong attention to detail and ability to process data with minimal errors.Knowledge of employment laws and willingness to keep up date on these laws.Ability to maintain high ethical standards of confidentiality, integrity and quality.Ability to prioritize own work, take a proactive approach to tasks and be a self-starter.Excellent communication, spelling and grammatical skills.Excellent attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.Prior experience using a HRIS and ability to run and create reports as needed.Other Characteristics:Ability of having an innovative and dynamic approach to work.A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.Ability to consistently exhibit Supernus Values in interactions with employees at all levels of the organization, vendors, customers and others.Capable of performing other duties as assigned by Management.Authorized to legally work in the United States without visa sponsorship.Physical Requirements/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or carrying objects.
