This is a hybrid role with a combination of work on-site two days per week with the team in downtown Los Angeles and one day of remote work.
Description:
We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to develop brand materials and collateral for a historic landmark venue with experiential programming and a food and beverage component. Think of Disneyland meets the Magic Castle with award-winning cocktails, live music, luau brunches, and a little something for everyone of all ages. The aesthetic is a bit bohemian, and a bit cabinet of curiosities, tinged with an element of fantasy a la Tim Burton. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for managing design projects from concept to delivery. Responsibilities include managing graphic design tasks, refining projects and drafts, and generating creative ideas. You should have extensive knowledge of graphic design, styles, and techniques. Ultimately, an excellent Graphic Designer will ensure that brand materials and collateral communicate our vision consistently through high-quality visual and graphic content.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing logos, brand assets, graphic content, illustrations, infographics and creating editable templates
Generating fresh concepts and perspectives
Support day-to-day design projects and program activities, including images, graphics, print media, product design, displays, photography, and video productions to ensure messaging and look are successfully communicated while deadlines are met
Ensure brand consistency with the marketing team
Use your strong eye for aesthetics and visual details to ensure a quality final product
Listen to design needs, come up with ideas, and communicate them to other members of the team
Maintain high standards of quality and make sure only the best work is completed
Help shape and communicate brand vision and mission
Specific
Job Task Examples and Deliverables:
Logos and Brand Kit - development of brand logos, color guides, style guides, and brand kits
Website - layout and design of pages, campaigns, saving for web, animated GIFs, etc.
Promotional Collateral – development of menus, flyers, cards, and other promotional materials
Marketing Campaigns - ideation and creative concept, landing page design and layout, etc.
Social Media Graphics – ads, templates, posts and stories, carousel design (organic and paid ads)
Google – digital banners for various campaigns and media partners
Position Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or equivalent experience.
High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and email platforms (Mailchimp) is preferable.
Comfort with leveraging AI is also helpful.
5+ years of professional design experience in the hospitality space is ideal.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for long periods
May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
