SDFCU is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for performing HR related duties on a professional level and working closely with senior HR professionals in supporting various functional areas such as recruitment, benefits administration, performance management, employee relations, salary administration and employment law compliance. Strong social skills and the ability to remain neutral while maintaining confidentiality of employees' sensitive information is required.REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

5 to 8 years of Human Resources related experienceBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related fieldKnowledge of employment laws and other government compliance regulations.Strong background in recruitment, personnel administration, employment, compensation and benefitsProficiency using an HRIS or applicant tracking softwareExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailsExcellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.Ability to work independently and consistently demonstrate a professional demeanorExperience using a PC to include Microsoft Office Suite and related software; proficiency using Microsoft ExcelSHRM-CP a plusJOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

Recruits, interviews and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for job openingsLeads efforts for college recruitment and internship programsConducts new hire onboarding and offboardingPerforms routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, performance and talent management, productivity and recognitionHandles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staffParticipates in employee corrective action, disciplinary meetings and terminationsMaintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices, reviews policies and practices to maintain complianceMaintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment lawThe above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by the HR Generalist.
