The hotel boasts 600 guest rooms and 39,472 of onsite meeting space, perfect location to host your large group events! The team is looking to add a Senior Event Manager to execute mid-large size groups for the hotel!Department OverviewThe Catering and Events Department is responsible for the management of contracted groups and social event food/beverage and meeting room revenues and experiences, room block management, negotiation of supplier services. Ensuring event planner satisfaction while meeting and or exceeding department and individual revenue goals.Position StatementAs Senior Event Manager you will be responsible for event documentation and coordination with Sales, hotel departments and customers to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases of all hotel events. This position primarily handles complex events. You will be required to ensure a seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales. Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue by upselling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events. Serve as the event planner's primary contact following turnover on property and is responsible for his/her experience.Position SummaryAs a Team Member, your essential functions in this role include:Organizing, planning, and prioritizing duties by developing plans and goals.Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents, or in person.Creating and maintaining relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations.Demonstrating knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes.Resolving conflicts and negotiating with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts.Selling and influencing both internal and external clients.Making decisions and solving problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determining the best solution.Ensuring high-quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.Participating in customer site inspections and assisting with the sales process as necessary.Other duties as necessary based on business needs.What will it be like to work for Hilton?Hilton is the leading global hospitality company, spanning the lodging sector from luxurious full-service hotels and resorts to extended-stay suites and mid-priced hotels.
