The

Events and Sponsorship Manager

plays a crucial role in managing event logistics and sponsorships, overseeing the planning and execution of our annual signature and networking events, including major fundraisers like the Philanthropy Awards Celebration Luncheon and the Philly Awards, and ensuring successful sponsorship acquisition and fundraising coordination.Event Management:

Create event concepts and plans for in-person and virtual events, considering all pertinent details and crafting proposals and ideas.Plan, organize, and execute a diverse range of events to include signature and networking events, conferences, and trade shows.Manage the Special Events Committee.Develop and organize all event-related materials, including décor, staging, gifts and awards, run-of-show, presentation slides, and scripts.Manage contract negotiations and act as the primary contact for venues and vendors, including audio/visual, catering, photographers, videographers, exhibitors, and entertainers.Manage all facets of event coordination, including audiovisual requirements, venue selection, catering, vendor management, timeline supervision, registration processes, invitation management, and RSVP tracking.Effectively manage event budgets to ensure expenditures stay within approved limits while maximizing revenue generation.Lead on-site event coordination, overseeing setup and teardown. Execute post-event follow-up tasks, such as evaluations, thank-you communications, and acknowledgment letters.Sponsorship Development:

Identify, cultivate, and secure fiscal and/or in-kind sponsorship opportunities from corporations, foundations, and other potential community partners.In collaboration with Communications and Marketing Manager, develop comprehensive and compelling sponsorship packages and proposals tailored to the needs and interests of prospective sponsors.Negotiate sponsorship agreements and contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and mutual benefit for sponsors and Nonprofit Connect.Manage the fulfillment process for event sponsors and serve as the main point of contact.Maintain strong relationships with current sponsors, providing regular updates and ensuring fulfillment of sponsorship benefits.Marketing Promotion:

As the lead, in collaboration with Communications and Marketing Manager and external marketing agencies, develop marketing concepts, strategies and promotional campaigns to increase event awareness, continuity in branding and sponsor engagement.Utilize digital marketing tools, social media email platforms, and newsletters to effectively promote events and sponsorship opportunities.Evaluation and Reporting:

Track and evaluate the success of events and sponsorship activities, analyzing metrics such as attendance, revenue generated, and sponsor satisfaction.Prepare comprehensive reports highlighting outcomes and recommending improvements for future events.Requires high volume of data entry with the expectation of supporting database proficiency efforts by maintaining and updating invitation and mailing lists.This is a full-time, on-site position.Purpose:

Nonprofit Connect links the nonprofit community to education, resources, and networking so organizations can more effectively achieve their missions. Our organization continues to grow to meet the increasing needs of the nonprofit sector.The salary for this position is in the $55,000 - $65,000 range. Demonstrated successful performance in executing events and convention/meeting planning experience, both virtually and in-person, within the nonprofit sector.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders including sponsors, donors, volunteers, and community members.Results-oriented, high-energy self-starter with strong follow-through skills, and the ability to see a process through from beginning to end.
