General Description

The foreman supervises field operations of a grading crew and engages in the trade work performed by the crew.

Key Duties

Knowledgeable in the areas of excavation and grading

Directly supervises grading crew, reporting to Superintendent

Operates and supervises the operation of heavy equipment on project sites

Reads, understands, and interprets drawings and specifications

Provides reports on time and materials

Ensures all safety precautions and quality standards are met

Flexibility with schedule changes, location changes, and time of shift changes

Requirements

Experience operating relevant heavy equipment

5+ years of SCDOT, commercial, and/or residential grading experience

3+ years supervisory experience

Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50+ lbs
