The Portfolio Associate works closely with the Portfolio Managers and is responsible for helping to manage multi-asset class portfolios in individual trust, taxable and non-taxable, and retirement accounts. This position executes equity, mutual fund, and bond trades in individual trust, taxable and non-taxable, and retirement accounts. Execute equity, ETF, mutual fund, and bond trades.Manage trading counterparty relationships, tracking commission commitments and actual commissions generated.Create best execution reports for equity trades in collaboration with Nixon Peabody Trust Company (NPTC) compliance.Maintain trade blotters, model portfolios, and other templates in NPTC trading system.Help manage, evaluate, and monitor complex or high value investment portfolios, focused on investing and/or raising cash for individual, multi-generational trusts and retirement accounts.Implement portfolio recommendations based on the firm's long term investment approach, working closely with Portfolio Managers and Private Client partners/trustees.Create portfolio characteristics, performance measurement and attribution reports in FactSet.Invest with return/risk objectives consistent with each trust or account's Investment Policy Statements (IPS), applying the group's target global themes to individual portfolios.Work collaboratively to onboard new client accounts, including account opening information gathering/documentation, IPS creation, reaffirmation letter review.Assist in the initiation, documentation and completion of routine regulatory account reviews.Compile necessary reports/client data for client/trustee meetings.Perform other duties as assigned.Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field. Work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.3-5 years of portfolio management and trading experience required with a focus on high value portfolios and/or trust accounts preferred.Experience managing taxable accounts.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Solid presentation skills for client meetings and new business opportunities.Strong interpersonal skills with a client service focus.Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Self-starter with a results-driven personality.Experience with PM/order entry systems, financial systems and tools for analysis (FactSet, Bloomberg, Morningstar, etc.).In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated annual salary range for this position, depending on location, is as follows: Boston, MA: $98,185 to $140,335.In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including but not limited to: work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications. Because such contingent compensation is not yet calculable or may be zero ($0) in some circumstances, the above-listed salary range(s) are Nixon Peabody's good faith estimate of the annual salary(ies) it reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of this posting.To comply with Federal law, Nixon Peabody participates in E-Verify.
