The Staff Recruiting Specialist serves as an ambassador for the firm supporting the firm's staff recruiting process, as well as key initiatives that enable the firm to attract a diverse group of qualified candidates and provide a consistent, exceptional experience for candidates and key stakeholders. Albany, NY; Boston, MA; Buffalo, NY; Chicago, IL; Manchester, NH; Melville, NY; New York City, NY; Providence, RI; Rochester, NY; Washington, DCWork with Staff Recruiting Manager to develop and implement strategic recruiting goals and department initiatives, including diversity recruiting roles supporting the firm's objectives.Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and competencies, evaluating and identifying staffing strategies to develop diverse pools of qualified candidates.Proactively source candidates through a variety of channels, review applications, and conduct initial phone screens.Schedule interviews, collect evaluation feedback forms, distribute feedback summaries to relevant parties, and coordinate travel arrangements, as applicable.Maintain staff candidate information, job requisitions, recruiting activity, and other relevant recruiting information in the firm's applicant tracking system.Identify and secure hiring approval from functional leadership and perform relevant pre-search due diligence.Provide frequent ongoing communications to hiring manager, the Staff Recruiting Manager, and relevant HR team members.Develop and maintain internal and external postings for open staff roles; work with HR colleagues to ensure accuracy of job descriptions and pay ranges.Consult with hiring managers, the Staff Recruiting Manager, and HR staff in the final selection of qualified candidates to meet the firm's needs.Participate in salary recommendations, as well as preparing and extending offers.Initiate and perform required post-offer due diligence, including professional reference checks, background checks, past employment verification, and conflicts clearance.Liaise with and assist regional HR with first-class onboarding experience.Prepare reports, projections, and statistics regarding staff hiring.Liaise with search firms and temporary recruiting agencies and negotiate placement agreements. Coordinate and track all staff agency agreements.Perform other tasks as required.To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential job responsibility listed above, satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. Minimum of 3-5 years of talent acquisition experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment.Bachelor's degree preferred; work experience in lieu of degree will be considered.Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and competing demands.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Client-driven team player with exceptional client service skills and attention to detail; must be extremely responsive to both internal and external clients.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required; prior experience with document management systems preferred.Prior experience with applicant tracking systems, such as LawCruit, strongly preferred.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, interacting with all levels of firm personnel.Demonstrated professionalism and the highest regard for confidentiality.Self-starter with ability to remain self-directed and self-motivated with minimal supervision.Demonstrated creativity, initiative, enthusiasm, and good judgment.Ability to learn quickly and apply training to practical issues.Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours.In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated annual salary range for this position, depending on location, is as follows:Rochester, NY: $58,172 to $83,210Buffalo, NY: $58,172 to $83,210Manchester, NH: $58,172 to $83,210Albany, NY: $61,081 to $87,370Providence, RI: $63,989 to $91,530Chicago, IL: $66,898 to $95,691Washington, DC: $69,807 to $99,851Boston, MA: $69,807 to $99,851New York, NY: 72,715 to $104,012Long Island, NY: 72,715 to $104,012In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including but not limited to: work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications.
