The Applications Developer is responsible for managing all aspects of business applications. This position involves third party system integration, application development, and database support all within the Microsoft stack both on premise and in the Cloud. This position reports to the Manager, Applications.Location:

Albany, NY; Boston, MA; Buffalo, NY; Chicago, IL; Manchester, NH; Melville, NY; New York City, NY; Providence, RI; Rochester, NY; Washington, DCIdentify business opportunities with internal clients to apply complex technical solutions to best meet business requirements. This includes detailed analysis, design, build and implementation of complex applications programs.Leverage advanced technical skills to conduct research and develop solutions to address specific application/business needs.Provide technical oversight for all core business systems, including financial, time management, document management, records, conflicts, marketing, human resources and other legal-specific tools and applications.Application monitoring and maintenance. This includes providing day-to-day support, identify issues/potential problems and responding quickly to developer escalation production issues.Maintain application security compliance and adherence to ISO 27001 certifications.Recommend and implement application upgrades when necessary to improve performance or maintain supported releases.Populate and maintain a knowledge base (Application Inventory) including installation documentation, problem resolutions, vendor contact information, change log, and other application information.Maintain technical proficiency and industry knowledge through technical and business-related training programs, seminars and industry events.Contribute to team effort by participating in regularly scheduled team/project meetings.Adhere to firm and IT development policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential job responsibility listed above, satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. 6-8 years of relevant IT experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.Microsoft certifications preferred. Experience with Aderant, NetDocuments, IntApp Conflicts, and Interaction a plus.Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft technologies (i.e., SQL Server, SQL Reporting Services, SQL Stored Procedures/Functions, Power BI, SSIS Integrations, .NET, .NET Core, Visual Studio, IIS, etc.).Experience with Microsoft Cloud technologies, including SharePoint and Azure administration.Software development, including object-oriented programming (Java or C#), Web HTML and CSS, Frameworks such as Bootstrap and jQuery.Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate on all levels, both verbal and written.Ability to deal with a multitude of concurrent projects or problems including complex issues that require collaborative efforts between users, support engineers and vendors to ensure a timely response or resolution.Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies.In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated annual salary range for this position, depending on location, is as follows:Rochester, NY/Buffalo, NY/Manchester, NH: $88,200 to $130,990; Albany, NY: $92,600 to $137,545; Providence, RI: $97,000 to $144,000; Chicago, IL: $101,420 to $140,545; Boston, MA/Washington, DC: $105,830 to $157,195; NYC/Long Island, NY: $110,240 to $163,745In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including but not limited to: work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications.
