The Manager, Litigation Paralegal Operations blends hands-on casework with strategic leadership, overseeing a team of paralegals across multiple offices. This position is responsible for optimizing paralegal operations while ensuring to deliver exceptional client value by implementing innovative work allocation systems, driving continuous improvement through data-driven insights, and spearheading professional development initiatives. The Manager, Litigation Paralegal Operations is critical in shaping our paralegal program to meet the evolving demands of the legal industry, emphasizing both traditional skills and cutting-edge legal technologies. Boston, MA; Long Island, NY; New York, NY; Washington, DCOversee, assist and take ownership of the work of the Litigation Paralegals to ensure tasks are being completed accurately and timely.Balance a personal caseload (approximately 1000 billable hours) with innovative team leadership.Mastery of civil and administrative law practices, court procedures, rules of evidence, and courtroom procedures.Implement and refine a dynamic work allocation system, leveraging data analytics to ensure optimal staffing and utilization.Drive continuous improvement through real-time feedback mechanisms and performance analytics.Identify emerging trends in paralegal practice to inform targeted professional development initiatives.Mentor, train, and guide paralegals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.Design and execute a cutting-edge onboarding program for new paralegal hires, emphasizing both technical skills and adaptability.Monitor and oversee ongoing and yearly feedback to provide accurate and helpful performance evaluations.Perform other duties as assigned.To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential job responsibility listed above, satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. 5-7 years of paralegal experience in mid to large law firms, with a record of embracing technological change.College Degree required. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.Advanced knowledge of the litigation field.Demonstrated success in paralegal team management, including innovative approaches to training, workload optimization, and performance evaluation.Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.Proven ability to thrive under pressure and lead through change.Must be resourceful, detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.Proficiency with legal tech tools and a passion for exploring emerging technologies.Ability to travel to other NP offices or client sites.Ability to meet or exceed billable hour requirement.In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated annual salary range for this position, depending on location, is as follows:Boston, MA: $105,833-$157,197Long Island, NY: $110,243-$163,747New York, NY: $110,243-$163,747Washington, DC: $105,833-$157,197In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including but not limited to: work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications.
