POSITION SUMMARYThe Sales Manager provides customer sales and service support for the Northeast US region. This position is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers. The Sales Manager is responsible for monitoring and increasing sales volume and IBN.
Essential Functions
Provide in person sales and service support for all customers in a defined geographic region; attend/participate in customer open houses and special events as requiredDevelop and maintain relationships with key customer positions such as Parts Managers, Service Managers and ExecutivesPromote current product line, introduce new product lines and assist with the promotional or service programs to customer baseAssist regional customers in making sales calls with distributors and fleets in their regionProvide guidance for service, warranty, new productConduct local/national/regional trade shows to promote product and provide guidance for potential new distributorsAssist in field service issues and field test programs as needed to resolve warranty issuesOther duties as assignedPosition qualifications (Competency Statement(s))
Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsGood computer skillsExtensive knowledge of the commercial highway vehicle marketSignificant sales experienceExperience
6-10 yearsExperience in heavy truck and brake-related components preferred
